Privacy Policy
HoneyPot (Nth Star Pty Ltd, Australia) operates www.honeypot.xxx and the HoneyPot app. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain English.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, mobile), date-of-birth confirmation (18+), booking details (date, time, suburb/address, service), payment status from Stripe (we never store card numbers), messages sent through the platform, and — for performers on an active job who opt in — live GPS location for safety check-ins.
How we use it
To create and manage bookings, process payments and payouts, send booking confirmations, reminders and safety alerts (email, SMS and push), run the Honey rewards program, verify identity and age, prevent fraud and abuse, and provide customer support.
SMS, email & push
We send transactional messages about your bookings and account. Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of marketing texts (booking-critical safety alerts may still be sent). You can manage push and email alerts from your dashboard.
Location data
Performers can share live location only while a job is active. It is visible to HoneyPot safety staff and used for arrival confirmation, geofence alerts and SOS. Location history is retained for 30 days for safety investigations, then deleted.
Who we share with
Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), and hosting providers — each only receives what they need to deliver the service. We share performer/customer details between the two parties to a confirmed booking (first name, suburb, contact for the job). We disclose data to law enforcement only where legally required.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and for 7 years after for financial-record obligations (statements, tax). You can request deletion of non-financial data at any time.
Your rights
Access, correct or export your data, or request deletion, by emailing privacy@honeypot.xxx. We respond within 30 days. Australian users are protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); New Zealand users by the Privacy Act 2020.
Age & content
HoneyPot is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; accounts found to belong to minors are removed immediately.
Cookies & local storage
We use local storage for your login session, age-gate confirmation and app preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
